Denso Densyl™ Mastic – 18kg

Denso Densyl™ Mastic 18Kg is a cold-applied, self-supporting mastic designed for sealing, filling and caulking applications where a protective, waterproof and non-setting mastic is required. It may be suitable for contouring tank bases and profiling irregular surfaces. In addition, it helps build up and smooth profiles while eliminating voids before applying Densyl™ Tape or Denso™ Tape to mechanical joints, flanges, fittings and valves. Densyl Mastic is applied before tape installation and is generally used with a suitable primer, Denso Petrolatum Tapes or Denso Bituminous Tapes. For more information, visit the Denso Website. Features: excellent sealing properties, contains no VOCs, adheres to metal, PVC, polyethylene and concrete, is not affected by water, acids and salts, supports easy application, is inert and environmentally stable, requires minimal surface preparation (SSPC SP 2-3), meets AWWA C217 Standard, and is a CSA Z245.30 component. Denso Densyl™ Mastic 18kg Technical Information Composition Densyl Mastic is a petrolatum compound containing inert siliceous fillers and vegetable fibres. In addition, it contains no VOCs. Therefore, it may suit applications where low-VOC materials are preferred. Uses Densyl Mastic is specially recommended for duct sealing and around pipes and cables where they enter buildings to help prevent the passage of water or gas. Furthermore, it can be moulded around irregular profiles such as flanges, mechanical joints and valves to create a contour suitable for wrapping with anti-corrosion tapes including Denso Tape, Densopol and Densoclad. Characteristics Densyl Mastic has the following characteristics: VOC free, suitable for service temperatures up to 90°C, easy to apply, and suitable for use in a wide range of climates. Availability Densyl Mastic is available in: 3 kg blocks, 6 blocks per carton, round strips (330 mm x 50 mm diameter), 12 blocks per carton, and triangular strips (330 mm length – 50 mm x 50 mm x 70 mm), 20 blocks per carton. Storage conditions Store in a cool and dry place in the original packaging. Furthermore, keep packaging sealed until required for use. Waste material Please avoid or minimise waste wherever possible.
